Meeting critical

Supply chain security

Reliable and unhindered access to certain Critical Raw Materials (CRMs) is a growing concern within the EU and across the world. CRMs are of huge importance to the EU economy, but also have a high supply risk. Demand is expected to rise exponentially in the coming years. Supply chain security is therefore an urgent priority for governments and industries.

Decarbonisation

Greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) due to burning fossil fuels are the main cause of observed climate change. Decarbonisation is therefore the major goal of most developed economies in line with the 2015 Paris Agreement. This requires that we have materials available to produce renewable energy. Our production of necessary materials will therefore contribute to decarbonisation.

Responsible production

Sustainable consumption and production are key to Norge Mineraler’s aim to promote resource and energy efficiency, circular infrastructure, and provide access to improved services, future oriented careers and a better quality of life.

A cornerstone in collaborative resource development

NM offers the opportunity for high skilled jobs, reversing regional brain-drain. Brussels is demanding improved provenance and for Europe to become increasingly self-sufficient for strategically important materials Share holders are looking for long-term, responsible investments in which to place capital Norway’s Great Council has introduced a ‘fast track’ pilot for the export development of NM’s CRMs and NM is working with Ministries of Climate & Environment, as well as Trade & Industry, and Finance to assess eligibility grants, subsidies and investments Customers are demanding lower carbon characteristics within industrial supply chains as part of their net zero strategies Processing partners are requiring improved purity in their raw materials to support margins and product quality We keep union bodies informed and should now invite them to support our project publicly, in presentations they give, in consultation processes NM can deliver socio-economic regeneration into SW Norway
