Advanced Magnet Lab, Inc. showcases permanent magnet technology at NDIA Mine to Magnet Workshop

The Advanced Magnet Lab, Inc. (AML) has exhibited the performance of its leading permanent magnet technology at NDIA’s Mine to Magnet Workshop.

AML gathered with over one hundred industry and government stakeholders at the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Mine to Magnet Workshop held on January 16–17, 2024, in Bethesda, MD, at Lockheed Martin.

Displaying AML’s technology to the permanent magnet sector

Mark Senti, CEO of AML, revealed AML’s unique approach to its technology and business with a thought-provoking presentation of how AML has quickly risen to be one of the leading innovators of permanent magnet applications globally.

“They said it couldn’t be done,” exclaimed Mark in front of the audience.

AML gives credit to its breakthrough success due to strong perseverance, bootstrapping, and strategic and government partner support. AML has led several programmes for developing its technology funded by the United States Department of Defense (DoD), and the U.S. Department of Energy (DoE).

The presentation was given in front of peer companies with decades of experience in producing permanent magnets, including Neo Performance Materials, Inc., Vacuumchmelze, and Electron Energy Corporation.

A closer look at the PM-Wire™ process

AML’s manufacturing capabilities are built on the backbone of its technology, PM-Wire™, a scalable and modular manufacturing process that can produce non-sintered and sintered permanent magnets at a high rate and high yield.

The process is adaptable to a variety of applications, including those that benefit from magnets in unique configurations and material compositions, such as electric motors.

Additionally, AML provided magnet samples to interested parties at the event.
