Sweden Canada Innovation Days 2025 is a meeting place for Swedish and Canadian actors in innovation, technology and sustainable development.
The event enables innovators to collaborate with Canada in its growing fields of electrification, battery production and sustainable industry. Swedish companies can also showcase their expertise in electrification, AI and energy efficiency.
The theme for Sweden Canada Innovation Days 2025 is defence and security, advanced technology and electrification. Both small and large companies are invited to participate.
The deadline for registration is 31 October 2025 and an expression of interest can be made here.
Sweden Canada Innovation Days: A longstanding history of collaboration
Sweden Canada Innovation Days aim to develop and deepen relations between Canada and Sweden, creating business opportunities and collaborations between companies, researchers and public actors.
The event brings together over 150 representatives from Canada and Sweden, including those from the business, public sector, and academia. The event offers a platform for networking, knowledge exchange and inspiration.
The event is part of the Sweden Canada Innovation Initiative, which is funded by the Swedish Energy Agency and Vinnova and is carried out in collaboration with Business Sweden.

By participating in Sweden Canada Innovation Days 2025, businesses are offered:

- Exposure in Innovation Zone – an exhibition area for Swedish small and medium-sized companies and event sponsors.

Parallel programme: Sweden–Canada InnoMatch Program 2025
Alongside Sweden Canada Innovation Days, RISE, on behalf of Vinnova, is arranging a coaching and matchmaking programme for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with a focus on research and innovation.
The programme aims to support companies in establishing long-term collaborations with Canadian research and innovation actors.
Participating companies will receive:
- Tailored partner matches and a matchmaking day on 18 November in Ottawa.
- Coaching before, during and after the trip, including support for project applications, for example Horizon Europe.
- Participation in Sweden Canada Innovation Days on 19 November, with the opportunity to pitch, exhibit in Innovation Zone and be seen digitally.
- A continued programme of study visits, networking and meetings in Ontario and Quebec.
Interested SMEs can register for the InnoMatch Program by 28 September 2025.
