About CUA

Founded in 1998, Champaign-Urbana Aerospace (CUA) is a limited liability company located at a 10,000 sq ft mixed laboratory/office facility in northwest Champaign, Illinois, USA. The state-of-the-art facility enables CUA to design and manufacture industry-leading aerospace technologies and is comprised of an ISO7 cleanroom, a rapid prototyping shop, and five laboratories: Spacecraft Propulsion Lab, Plasmadynamics Lab, Spacecraft Mechanisms Lab, Advanced Materials Lab, and High-Performance Computing/Astrodynamics Lab.

CUA has an illustrious long-term partnership with the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC), which enables the company to work alongside some of the world’s finest minds in engineering and science, helping to inspire the research and development of the next generation of aerospace technologies.
