OROT, the Connected Health Incubator, is one of the first incubators in Canada established within the healthcare environment. It was founded to address the need to develop and integrate innovations with demonstrated feasibility and acceptability within the healthcare context. OROT continues to lead the way in co-creation and interdisciplinary collaboration, bringing together healthcare actors and end users with industry partners to build and launch digital innovations that improve people’s lives.
OROT works hand in hand with the CIUSSS West-Central Montreal and the world-renowned, award-winning Jewish General Hospital to foster innovation by providing access to the expertise of their users, clinicians, researchers, and infrastructure. To offer a more balanced approach to accelerating digital innovations and ensuring their success in the marketplace, OROT closely collaborates with other complementary organisations such as small, medium and large industry partners, research and innovation centres, accelerators, economic developments, AI consortiums, philanthropic organisations, government and patients, and professional associations. This coalition brings together existing players and infrastructures with highly complementary expertise around a common goal – the acceleration and implementation of innovation.
